Trekking through the Berber valleys and villages for 2 days
- A trek that takes 2 days to go from beginner to intermediate level.
- Visiting several Berber villages and the surrounding valleys is a part of our trip to Tizi n’Tamatertede.
- Families with children and elderly people can enjoy this trekking. This route is suitable for either riding a mule or walking.
- Our journey will include passing through several picturesque villages and enjoying a panoramic view of the valley.
- If you have more adventurous tastes, you can extend your days to cover greater distances and climb nearby mountains along the route.
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Tizi nTamaterte – Wanskra:
- We will pick you up at your hotel or riad in Marrakech and start our route through the Imlil Valley.
- We’ll depart the vehicle in Imlil then begin our journey with our mugger, guiding us along the winding roads towards the east.
- Our plan is to contact Tizi n’Tamaterte for the picnic location.
- It is possible to enjoy Jbel Oukaimeden and the plateau surrounding it.
- After eating, we’ll take the trail that descends to the Imnane valley until we arrive at our stopover hostel in Wanskra village.
- On this day, we will be walking for about 5-6 hours.
Day 2: Wanskra – Ikkis – Tizi n’Aguersiwal – Aguersiwal – Imlil:
- After eating breakfast, we will descend into the Assif Imnane Valley and stop at various Berber villages.
- Our objective is to reach Tizi n’Aguersiwal (2000 meters) by climbing.
- By mule trails, we will descend through the pass and reach the village of Aguersiwal.
- We will be having lunch at Aguersiwal.
- Imlil can be reached by following the river through the valley.
- There will be a walk that will take approximately 5 to 6 hours on this day.
- Our driver will pick you up from your hotel/riad accommodation in Marrakech after we finish the trekking excursion in the afternoon.

- A water bottle or thermos is a good choice (recommended)
- Carry a backpack or a large bag (with a capacity of up to 50 liters).
- A lightweight backpack to carry the essentials of the day
